TAMALAKI EDUCATION CENTRE

SCHOOL VISION AND VALUES:
Vision:    Each graduate living as a focused, happy, confident productive citizen of the world.  (A world citizen leading a life of dignity).
Mission: - Provide safe and conducive learning environment using pupil centered teaching approach that encourages children to explore their world (internal and external), and to understand and respect the life forms, systems and forces, which it consists, and make value addition to the world community.

Until 2013, there was no Early Childhood Development Centre (ECDC) in Olchoro Onyore (Kajiado County), which is about 21 Kms from Kiserian trading centre. Women of the community expressed the need for quality education of their children. Through the demand, TAK Foundation started Tamalaki ECDC in mid-2013 and currently the school has grown to Class 8 with 160 pupils. Since the women’s need was quality primary education in their village the school adapted the Montessori Teaching approach. It provides safe and conducive learning environment using pupil centred teaching approach that encourages the children to explore their world (internal and external), and to understand and respect the life forms, systems and forces that make value addition to the world community.
